Hi all,

I am going to ko chang for a week. I am looking at staying on lonely beach.

Is this the best place for some peace and quiet and not too far away from attractions.

Thanks in advance

lonely beach is the backpackers area. its not quiet. its small but they pack in a lot of loud music bars with people partying into the night. at the far edges there are some quieter resort and bungslows, however . the surrounding beaches are more quiet! white sands of course is the busiest. good luck!

have a look at sea view resort...might be what ya looking for

think it might be out of Budget.

The other option if he wants quiet, is The Souk.

Kacha Resort, in three parts (original, hotel and super dooper roomes with pool, is quiet. It's at the southern end of White Sands Beach and you can walk along the beach in the evening to choose your restaurant.

Lonely Beach is far from lonely these days.

Personally, if you look at 'up the hill' from White Sand, like leaving White Sand but way before Chai Chet there are some places just off the road there (bike would be handy) but they're a lot more isolated and quieter than Lonely Beach

Lonely Beach you're likely to be putting up with backpackers having 'parties' at the many small bars there, cheap buckets, things like that it's really not that lonely, mate

My girlfriend is working at Siam View Resort. It is the first resort when you arrive on Lonely beach from the pier.

They have more than 200 rooms, and 50 bungalows and do not advertise on Internet (no Agora). They are very successful with Thais from BK and it is the most modern place on Lonely beach.

They have a wide range of accommodations, from small bungalows on the mountain (600 baht/night) new Bungalow over the road on the hill (800 baht/night) or the main hotel is amazing and have modern rooms at 1500-2500 baht / night and even villas with private pool for 5000 baht / night - this is a little secret!

The resort is on the beach, no walk. It is a the extreme opposite from the noisy Lonely beach so it is quiet there, apart from the full moon parties.

They have an excellent restaurant and it is the best place to eat while looking the sunset.

There is another place right in the middle of the Lonely Beach mess called "Lonely Beach bungalows", they have a restaurant and it is farang owned. I stayed there and it was quiet and clean. (800 / night). They have a green sign just after the Pharmacy. They are often booked. The bungalows are in the middle of the jungle. There are a lot of mosquitoes.

I suggest to avoid Nature Beach which really sucks, and are playing stupid boom boom boom in loop on the beach, ark!

You can try Siam huts if you are on budget (300-400 / night) and if you are in a Robinson Crusoe trip! (no hot water, no fridge, no Tv, no aircon!!), they are right in the middle of the beach and are almost always fully booked. They have some bungalows with ocean view that you cannot match the location anywhere else.
