I went to AIS today to register my phone for the new 3G. The idea was that I could use video phone in the future as I have been unable to use it so far.

Anyway, the employee at AIS said that video phone calls can only be made within the same operating system ie. iPhone to iPhone, Android to Android and Windows8 to Windows8.

Ok we decided to carry on using Skype but my friend has a new mobile phone (Windows 8) and we downloaded Skype but couldn't log in.

Tried on my phone... couldn't log in.

Tried on a PC ... same result.

All we get is "Sorry, we didn't recognise your sign in details. Please check you skype name and password and try again."

Well the user names and passwords ARE correct.

Any ideas?

I've searched the Internet and it seems that others have had the same problem in the past but no solutions

No problems here in Chonburi either. I'm logged on with both my laptop (W7) and HTC mobile, and I use AIS on my mobile for the internet when not using WIFI.

Tried Tango but seems so unreliable. I managed to log in to Skype one time but was met with a message along the lines of "skype homepage not available" and no contacts or messages could be loaded.

I have to assume that the problem lies with Skype.

Mods might as well close this topic now

I just logged in with all three user names on 3 different devices.

Alls well.

I think Skype migrated with MSN just recently so they may be ironing out the glitches. I remember reading that you're supposed to use your MSN name/password, but I have no idea what to use if I had both MSN and Skype.

As of right now, both seem to be working fine (Skype for sure) but I think there's supposed to be a newer Skype version, so that you're having problems with probably. Give it some time.

Uhm I can't login today.. well I can login but nothing (contacts etc. ) comes up.

Logged in on the same computer with my friends user ID and no problems.

Skype must be doing something to their system.

Just been searching Internet and finally found the solution.

My status was set to offline so nothing was loaded. Changed status to online and all my contacts appeared.

Stupid me.
