German expat dies in Phuket after night out drinking
Naraporn Tuarob

PHUKET: -- German national Peter Lutz Teubner, a Phuket resident, was found dead in his house in Karon today (April 17).

Karon Police duty officer Pol Sub Lt Nipoon Themsun told The Phuket News that Mr Teubner, 57, was found dead at around 5am this morning by his wife.

“Mr Teubner had high blood pressure, and wife says he was a heavy drinker. Last night he went out drinking, but when his wife returned home she found he was dead on the bed.”

When police visited, they did not find any evidence implying an attack or fight had occurred, Lt Nipoon said.

His body has been taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for autopsy.

The article doesn't say his wife returned home at 5 AM. She found him at 5 AM.

Yes it does______ When she returned home at 5am she found him dead on the bed------- OK?

Are facts more important than conjecture?

Seems the article states clearly she returned home at 5 AM to find him dead on the bed. Regardless, chances are it's twice translated and in error, anyway.

Don B.,

Was reading a report recently where Thai women cheat more than Thai men, so why is is so incredulous she was out-or even possibly just partying it up with the girls?

You need to learn to read mate. The article clearly states that his body was found at five A.M, it then goes on to say that his wife returned home and found him dead, it therefore follows that the wife returned at 5 A.M.

When his wife returned home at 5 am !

Am I the only one smelling a rat here ??

So he's allowed to go out on the lash with his mates and she's not?

Was just the perfect couple.....

Dont you just love these stories and how they bring out the armchair Clouseau's.

So what.... they guy was 57 yo high blood pressure, drank allot .. recipe for heart failure in anyones book.

His wife came back at 5am OMG.. she did it ,she did it... must be guilty, more rat smell than a rattery

RIP dear fellow and don't worry, the armchair Sherlocks of Thai Visa are sure to reveal the true cause of your unfortunate demise.

Commiserations to family and wife..

Eeeerrrr the wife is a Thai native. This is Phuket. Perfectly reasonable to be suspicious.

How do the police know he had high blood pressure and was a heavy drinker - oh, that's right, because the Thai wife said so.

I'm not suggesting she killed him, just that it's proper there will be an autosy to determine the cause of death.

I think the detective work on this forum is just as conclusive as the police's...

No evidence, heresay and opinion is all that is needed by either...

Wife out until 5AM would make many a Man drink to much...

Maybe they had a mutual agreement that they could both go out independantly and do whatever they wanted as many couple do everywhere. If they were like the many of the same mind set then what business is that of anyone else. Before anyone jumps, no it's my way of life, but if it's someones elses and they're happy doing it then good luck to them and I would never think of putting them down for it.

Regardless of the circumstances, i don't want an autopsy.

I hope the man dies as he choose to die.

It's not up to you whether there is an autopsy.

You think he chose to die?

Nuts.
