And, as always, there doesn't seem to be anything in between cheap crap and over-the-top expensive.

I have found this on the HomePro website for B4,590;

It's a double sink, yes, but the dimensions are exactly the same as my single sink so the draining area has been sacrificed for the extra sink, and consequentially both sinks are a little smaller...

On the expensive side there are the professional kitchen sinks which are around B20,000 for just a single basin, and they're too deep(wide?) for the area I want to put mine in.

Any ideas?

I have thought about buying a decent 'stainless' double sink top from HomePro for around B5,000-8,000 and asking a local to construct me some kind of leg & frame system for it, I've got a welder next-door-but-one who I might ask, I would just rather buy the finished product - eliminating any problems when one leg is longer than the others and the neighbour doesn't think there's anything wrong with that crazy.gif

You got two choices, the first you have already found that limits the size of each sink. The only other option is to purchase a larger sink top (available almost everywhere)and have a base built, either using welded steel or cement

Can't understand your concern, you mean to say that you want 4 legs of the same length - come on now, how long have you been in Thailand? - also, you must be aware that the floors are never flat / level so having 4 equal legs won't overcome the problem of the unit standing flat / stable on the floor without rocking around -- go for 3 legs - no problems . laugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.png

We've bought the double sink top and now we're thinking what to do with it.

I'm laying new tiles on the floor(my first time) so the uneven surface could be all my fault in a day or so!

We're debating whether to build 2 little brick walls and plonk the sink on top, there needs to be a support along the underside of the front of the sink so that's my next conundrum, it might just be easier to get a bit of wood cut to size and have the sink sunk into that, would that bow in the middle though? the sink is 120cm wide.

I'm not very savvy when it comes to building things so I'm not even sure what materials are available to use :(

The sink will need the support around all edges. One way to do it is to build a concrete "shell" and then top with the countertop of your choice. That would need cutout for the sink and since you already bought one - you know the size. Of perhaps more importance is, the plumbing to make sure everything will fit properly for the water in/out. ie: make sure that stuff will fit before you build something.

Just got back from talking with my neighbour, he's going to make a frame from steel so the sink fits in nicely, I was worried about the finished look but we're going to paint the frame before we install the sink, that should do the trick :)

I had thought about an enclosed unit but the work involved would have taken too long, we can't even find someone to do the tiles, hence me trying it out for the first time, thanks for your suggestions :)
