You Heard It Here First...................

I remember where Central is now, was a T-junction.

To go to the airport, you went straight ahead from Patong, left at the traffic lights, past the Phuket Merlin and then a left onto Thepakretsi road.

The "Phuket" bypass road was made so that the increasing number of coaches, vans and cars coming from and going to the airport didn't have to meet in Phuket Town.

I have never heard any expat, or Thai refer to Chao Fah West as the bypass road.

So true, didnt read the entire thread by seems strange that anyone would think/belive that the name of a very old road would be changed to that of a very new one!!

They're obviously not superstitious as the new signs say the 13th which happens to be a Friday.

A neighbour went to the new Tesco today.

He said it took about 1/2 an hour to get out of the carpark. Chaos. Predictable and predicted. It has to have traffic lights!

They eventually had to get 2 BIB to hold up traffic on the highway.

He said the shopping was good, but not quite as big as the other main store. Many restaurants.

He particularly mentioned the sushi restaurant with a continuous conveyor belt presenting the dishes.

I just got back. Same old, same old. Nothin' special. No special deals. The KFC ran out of Wing Zapp. Exiting car park to turn south was fun.

Wish I'd saved the diesel.

Went today and Im a fan, easier than going to the old lotus and anytime MK gets closer to our house Im happy, easy to get out as we head nth up chaofa and cut through the temple so no probs there.
