Chiropodist

Featured Replies

Could anyone recommend a chiropodist please. I've got an ingrowing toenail developing.

I do a bit of running and get quite a lot of ingrown toenails. I usually just go to Ram hospital and for about 900 baht, they snip all the edges of my toenails - no pain and I'm walking right away.

Thanks Earl. Guess I'll hop a long to a hospital - was thinking there might be specialist chiropodists. I guess not, or none that TVers know about. What healthy feet most have.

As suggeted, the Chiangmai Ram will fix the problem, and if it's been left for a while and seriously in growing, they will give you a local, and tidy it up for you. The Thais have the right idea by not wearing restrictive footware.

I wear sandals all the time but still managed to get a pretty nasty ingrown nail on my big toe. Swollen, red and painful. Went to the Loi Kroh clinic and he gave a local and used a scalpal to cut the side of the nail and pull it out. Cleaned it up and bandaged and good as new in a couple of days. I'm pretty careful now about trimming my nails because I read once you get one they have a tendancy to come back unless trimmed properly.

I wear sandals too. & that's why I've got the problem. Chasing after the dog as he got out the gate on my bicycle (me on the bicycle not the dog!!), I caught my big toe on the road. Eventually the nail fell off. Now as it's regrowing I'm getting problems. If I'd been wearing real shoes I'd be ok. Maybe I should sue the dog for liability. Anyone know a good lawyer. Mind you I'm probably responsible for the dog. :D:o
