(Super Villian Posted Yesterday, 2006-04-03 16:51:13) Don't know anything about a 'betting scandal' although i would like to know more.

German soccer chiefs on Thursday issued a vehement denial of a newspaper claim that Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger was the international footballer involved in a betting scandal.

Full Story

Germany scraped there way through to the final in 2002 and were poor all the way.

I seem to remember an 8-0 thrashing of Saudi Arabia in the first round. Maybe I was watching a different tournament.

I was really pleased by the Americans' showing last Cup, but don't have great hopes of them getting out of their group. Guess I like the Czechs, French and Brazil, maybe a surprise African squad to make a splash.

england for me,if they get a bit of luck i think they can win it,and if not england will be italy or brazil.

outside bet the checs.

sbs in australia will be showing all the games,if not live it will be a delayed tellycast, they are a top chanell and cover football here very well in aus.

beeter than chanel; 9 covered the comonwealth games if the aussies wasnt involved we didnt get to see the event, bloody annoying.

Yes but after that game the same can not be said, after a 1-1 draw with Ireland a 0-2 win over Cameroon was the best they could manage. Getting to the final with three 1-0 wins over teams not normaly expected to be still in at that stage.

Alltogether now, Three Lions - Baddiel and Skinner

We still believe, we still believe

We still believe, we still believe

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, Football's coming home

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, Football's coming home

Tears for heroes dressed in grey

No plans for final day

Stay in bed, drift away

It could have been all

Songs in the street

It was nearly complete

It was nearly so sweet

And now I'm singing

Three lions on a shirt

Jules Rimet still gleaming

No more years of hurt

No more need for dreaming

Talk about football coming home

And then one night in Rome

We were strong, we had grown

And now I see Ince ready for war

Gazza good as before

Shearer certain to score

And Psycho screaming

Three lions on a shirt

Jules Rimet still gleaming

No more years of hurt

No more need for dreaming

We can dance Nobby's dance

We could dance it in France

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, Football's coming home

:o
