If she goes straight to the motorcycle queue, the standard private taxi fare is about 1800 baht, plus toll road tolls and tip, to her door in Hua Hin. Say, a flat 2000 baht (tourists never have exact change, and neither do taxi drivers!).

You can go to the top of this forum to search for ads of discount hotel prices in Hua Hin. You and she can book them online.

If she goes straight to the motorcycle queue ....

I know, you mean taxi-queue...

Still gave me a chuckle just to imagine she would go by motor bike. :o

the southern bus terminal in thonburi would be the place to get the bus , or the victory monument to catch a rot tuu.

there are also trains , they take about 4 hours to get down to hua hin.

rot tuu , are MiniVan's going certain Routes.

Operators fill them up and once full they go. No idea how much , but safer is going to the Southern Bus Terminal, take Bus to Hua Hin, specially if you not familiar with this.

If cost no problem ask @ the PublicTaxi stand for the price. Do not enquiry inside with Limousine Service , way to expensive.

THB 2000.- + toll ,seems a very good deal.

Take the airport bus @ 100 baht to Sanam Luang, from there a taxi @ around 50 baht to South Bus Station and from there the bus to Hua Hin @ about 150 baht.

Thanks, folks.

I never thought about the airplane. 5,300 baht round trip sounds great. How much for tuk-tuk from Hua Hin airport to, say, Khao Takiab?

And does the plane return to BKK shortly after refueling in HHin?

You can avoid southern bus terminal nonsense by taking airport bus (#2 I think) to Victory Monument then a/c minibus to HH for 160 baht. Minibus every 30 minutes, fast and more comfy than big blue bus plus he stops for a pee/snack break.

You can fly too, but I prefer moving rather than waiting around in an airport.

Up to you.

Thipurai is a good deal. I got a deluxe room this weekend for 1350, including breakfast. I think these are low season rates.

Great location. Decent enough rooms. Friendly staff.
