BANGKOK: -- The trial proceedings of the criminal case against Vorayuth Yoovidhya, a 28-year-old Red Bull heir, was postponed today for a fourth time.

Prosecutors said that they were still waiting for more testimony from police on whether or not they should press an additional charge of speeding against Vorayuth. It was the same reason for the previous postponement of the indictment.

According to Manager Online, Vorayuth is now being charged with a hit-and-run offense as well as dangerous driving causing death.

Speeding will be his third charge if he was found driving at 170 km/hour as he was accused. The indictment was deferred for a maximum of one month.

They are just hoping it will quietly disappear,or if he ever gets to court and

is found guilty ,the people will have moved on and when a light sentence,

as has happen in other very similar cases,is given by the court, the indignation

from the public (if they really care) would not be forthcoming .

The compensation has been paid, lets just forget about it !!!!! TIT.

Old tried and true lawyers trick, delay, delay and than delay some more,

in the end the public anger and interest will wane quite concededly

and he will get away with a slap on the wrist, it happened many time

before and it will happened again.....TIT..

Do you think they want real justice or money?

If the family have been paid a hefty sum. Then justice has been done. Thai style!

Different culture, different way of dealing with things.... MOVE ON.

we'll all move on if you, perhaps, get into a spot of bother and can't pay your way out of it.. i suspect you'll condone the difference in culture once it happens to you

In most countries, if a police officer was killed and dropped on the side of the road like garbage the police would be eager to present their evidence.

In most countries you would be dealing with real police.

They are dealing with real police, the more money they get the more real they become.cheesy.gifw00t.gifw00t.gifcheesy.gif

Well it's either accept the money or get NOTHING. This loser sure as heck will not see one day in jail. Like most of the poor masses, they are happy to get the cash. It's repulsive to us but that's the way it is here.

The first good laugh I've had today.

only want to comment, the exact same thing is happening in Australia. Its not peculiar to Thailand. There are

still corrupt police perverting the course of justice and money still buys a lot of favours in a country, sorry bureaucracy, ruled

by lawyers. . . and a monarch of another country, in another country, confusion? Its deliberate. . .
