I logged on to this website after a poster said they had lots of great stuff, that was true, but I tried to purchase something intending to pay with my Maestro debit card after I checked their website, at the bottom they showed pictures of all sorts of credit and debit cards, Maestro was among them, so I thought I would use my Maestro card, the reality is very different though, they actually do not accept any credit or debit cards.

They only accept bank transfers and Paypal. I spoke to them through their online chat, and the person I chatted to was clutching at straws trying to explain it. You would wonder if Chinavasion actually want customers. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Seems to me it's pretty clearly stated on the site that they only take Paypal and bank transfer.

The logo's of aforementioned cards are often used, as Paypal can charge all said cards, so holding one of them allows you to pay them through paypal!

As stated above, paying through Paypal is safe, in case of disputes they tend to be on the side of the buyer, not the seller, pretty much like your bank issued card!

Paypal say they accept debit cards, but they also do not accept Maestro which is used all over the world.

I have a Maestro Card from my german Bank too, but I've never heard, you can use it to pay online.

For ATM ok. But for everything else you need a Credit Card.

I don't know from where you come from, but in my case, Paypal is debiting payments from my german bank account.

But apart from the "payment problems", how much is shipping to TH.

And what about customs?

Bullshit..

I have used debit cards for years online, in store and with Paypal.

The problem you are experiencing might be because that particular regional site or your registered country might not accept it.. best thing is to contact Paypal and ask why. In any case you can do as roban advised and link your bank account for direct debit.

Perhaps a virtual credit card from your bank would solve problems? If you have internet banking, try apply for a virtual shopping card.

You can open a second paypal account in Paypal Thailand with your address in here. I have no problem in using my virtual card in my Paypal with Thai address.
