I assume you mean you were trying to reply to a post ?

Apparently, you cannot reply to classifieds, except by PM or by phone if a number is listed (according to a reply a mod posted awhile ago).

I got the same message when I once tried to reply to an ad.

Exactly Kerry. Ads are set to be "announce only". Moderators will normally only make visible updates from the original ad poster.
