Interesting... here's the monk's website. Asking for 'donations' for a number of activities to a number of bank accounts.

Remarkable that none of these seven accounts are in the name of any foundation/trust, only one in the Bhikkhus' name Luang Pu Nenkham Chattigo.

Suspicious that six accounts are on layman's name (Phra) Wiraphon Sukphon. In case Luang Pu is disrobed these are still his personal accounts, "Phra" loosing it's meaning!

Wiraphon Sukphon is his real name.. before he became a monk.. the name that's probably on his drivers license, passport and other id's.. Luang Pu Nenkham Chattigo is his monks name..

Shame on him. 10 accounts now thats what i call GREED

In Vinaya (code of conduct for Bhikkhus) it is a (minor) offence if handling gold or silver. Only a minority of Bhikkhus heed this conduct strictly.

From my own experience it is extremely common to handle money personally. Especially in Thailand people are surprised when a Bhikkhu does not accept money. Hardly anybody blinks an eye at least not the banks when opening personal accounts and millions are very politely taken care of.

Donations must be in the hands of a caretaker who looks after (basic) needs of Bhikkhu (Robes, Food, Shelter) and Temple.

He will be ok, many monks got a benefit of his doings already, this will be squashed for sure (only my opinion)

Well, there's a surprise,

Living a virtuous and morally correct life can, or rather should, be done single-handedly.

As soon as money, banks or any other institutions designed to better the finances of others, it fails, and in Thailand it fails monumentally.

So what did he do to convince so many people to give him money? Is he a very good speaker?
