Oonrak School - Any good.

Featured Replies

Hello Folks

Does anyone send their kids to Oonrak school or know of anyone who does?

Is it any good? And, in particular, is it any good for a Thai child with no English to become fluent?

Thanks

A good happy School and they teach English/ Thai /Chinese but I don't think you should expect too much .... if you want fluent English then send to a school where english is the prime language

I do not know the school from personal experience, but it has a good reputation. The few parents that I know who have children that go there love the place.

For a non-English speaking child, the age is an important factor. I know that at the ISS non-English speakers are given extra lessons. I would be surprised if Oonrak did not do the same. The younger the child, the quicker they learn. This is of course a generalisation. Every child is different.

Thanks for the feedback and yes, the main focus is getting the child to speak English in order to move overseas with the Thai mother and father.

thanks again

Oonrak is a very nice school has good facilities but is more Thai based than ISS,my son goes to ISS and I have seen non English speaking kids from Thailand,Russia pick up English very quickly,of the two schools I think ISS is more expensive but the school is being built up and improved all the time.
