Tried for Non-O Marriage in Bahrain, now need lots more paperwork

Similar to the post below about the consulate in Hull.

I went to the Thai Embassy in Manama, Bahrain today for what i thought would be a simple re-issue of my non-O marriage visa which I've had for 8 years. Took with me all the usual copies of the licence, ID card, passport etc...

I was told that as well as 800,000 baht in a Thai bank with monthly statements I also needed to produce a letter from the police letter showing no criminal record and a medical cert confirming I did not have various comminicable diseases!

Needless to say the visa was not granted.

That reads like they are talking about a non-oa visa for retirement.

Yes, the financials for Non 0 based on marraige to a Thai are a minimum income of 40,000 THB a month or 400,000 THB in a Thai bank.

I got my "O" marriage from Bahrain with the normal list of requirements, no issues.
