Expats Ladies Lunch

Date: Thursday, September 19

Place: The lunch buffet at the Grandview Hotel, on the Superhighway, about 500 meters north of Huey Kaew Rd. The Superhighway is the road that becomes Nimmanheiman once it crosses Huey Kaew.

Menu: a vast buffet with Thai, western, Italian, Japanese and sometimes Vietnamese selections with an excellent selection of desserts. All in an elegantly casual setting.

Time: plan to arrive at 11:45 to miss the noon rush at the buffet line. Later arrival is fine, but we'll start without you!

Cost: 180 baht. Cost includes water, coffee, and tea.

Nancy, is that the standard buffet price? Or does your group get big discount? I greatly enjoy a good lunch buffet, esp at such a price but am not a woman, so will go another day.

That's the standard price at the Grandview Hotel buffet. The only "special" treatment we receive is they reserve tables and place us in a more distant corner of the restaurant so we won't disturb others with our talking.

It's a big place, you could even come on a Ladies Lunch day. I suggest you arrive early (they open) at 11:30 am to get a good table, away from some of the tour groups that blow in, snarf, and leave in 45 minutes.
