Hi all,

foreigner at issan what u do for living??other than retirement... :D

Mmm!!!!! Good question

Well, I am working like hel_l in the UK and building mini business in Issan province, so I can sort-of semi-retire early and others work for me and my Thai-ness. Home finished, so not long now and the next stage of my life can begin. I'v got everything 'crossed' for good luck!!!!!!!! :o

In the winter we make love and go fishing - the summer tends to be too hot for fishing! :D

My wife and I have built our home, and have a small business that we're hoping will support us, so I can quit working in the Middle East.

Me and My wife are living in Finland now but my wife have small land in Buriram.

Later we would like to by more land and build home there also.

I am not sure yet that are we gone make some small business there or not.

It depends that how long time we still work here in Finland.. :o

Nimzo, why do you ask the question?

Reduced to automatism?

With a "spark" the world is your oyster.

Wherever you live.

The question should be "what do I want to achieve"?

Thats what LOS is all about. Within reason you CAN fulfil all your dreams

Dont let mistrust get in your way though. Mistrusting everyone doesn't make you a good person.

Sure you will be let down.

But you could have stayed in your own country for that.

Be inventive and enjoy life.

I lived in Bangkok then Jomtien before I discovered Issan. The thing I missed the most was having my own workshop. I love to tinker and sometimes build things. I had an eight by eight meter shop/garage built and have a couple of welders, power hack saw, drill press, air compressor and all the small tools to complete the shop. I seldom do any real work but am now able to fix or build nearly anything. :o
