From Mor Chit, you can either take BTS to Phaya Thai station and connect with airport Link, else, you can take MRT from Mor Chit to Phetchaburi MRT and connect with airport link in Makkasan station. This map will perhaps give you a clearer understanding.

You will need to consider the time of your flight if using the airport link. I believe it operates from 6am so allowing at least 2.5 hrs for check in your flight would need to be after 0830hrs. If it is you can get on the airport link at Phyathai and get off at Ramkhamhaeng. Opposite the station is a cheap hotel called Nasa Vegas. From Ramkhamhaeng to the airport via the airport link is about 20 minutes and cost 30 baht. You can Google Nasa Vegas and book or get their rates.

This is a good recommendation...I live in the Rhamkhamheng area and when my family visits, they always stay at the NasaVegas and find it convenient and comfortable.

If you book through AGODA.com, you will save even more....rooms at Nasa for as little as US$12.

Even if you need to leave before the Rail link opens at 0600, Taxi fare to the airport from there is never more than B200.

You would be better off asking this query in the Swampy sub-forum thread as most of the info you need - aside from the hotel - is there.

In case you chose to take the ARL the next morning check the Cityline timetable on the site, http://srtet.co.th/en/11_time_table/lastest/city_pth-svb_weekday.html. The Nasa Vegas hotel is located a few mins walk from Ram stattion as stated above so it is a good bet though there are also cheap hotels in Pratunam not far from Ratchaprarop station.

Map of metro lines in case you are unclear, http://www.bts.co.th/customer/en/02-route-current.aspx of what goes where.

Lastly, do remember that Mo Chit 2 Intercity bus terminus is some 2kms from Mo Chit BTS station if you chose that option, Many, many public BMTA buses go straight from Mo Chit 2 right around to BTS Mo Chit, or a quick taxi ride.

Hi LG,

Just one small thing; I wouldn't say Nasa Vegas is a few mins walk from Ram station - it is literally right across the road. It's a bugger of a road to cross though so it might take you a few minutes.

They're actually in the process of building a walkway from Nasa Vegas to the station so you won't need to cross the road and they seem to be making really rapid progress with it.

Cheers.

Yes good point. I guess the one thing is that often traffic is idle due to the intersection at Petchburi rd but you are correct that Ram rd is not the easiest to cross so that it could take much longer.

Didn't know about the walkway/ped link so that is good news for harassed and stressed pedestrians in the area.

It takes about 3 minutes just to walk from the road up to the platform tongue.png
