Swimming Pool Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm returning to CM for a 4 week holiday this coming November booked myself into the ViangBau Mansion. As they have no pool are there any facilities for swimming in CM that are open to the general public?

Many thanks

Most hotels let people ( who are not guests ) , use the pool for a price .Usually around B100.

Pools at major hotels and at the Center of the Universe are very good usually. However, if you want to rough it just a bit, you might be interested in 3 neighborhood pools.

The pool at the Lanna Sauna and Sport Club used to be pretty good, but recently they've added on to the building with rooms and dining right next to the pool, so it's shaded much of the day, and maybe a bit too cool coming into winter. They also have (or had) a sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room, which were quite nice. It's a short, 2-block walk from Viang Bua, however they may have rebuilt the wall that used to close off the adjoining passageway. Otherwise you'd have to go back out to Chang Peuak Road, turn left and go north until the soi beside the 7-11 leading left (west), and wander down that road, taking another left just before the temple, to the entrance. Check out this map on Wikimapia: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=18.806294&lon=98.982876&z=19&m=b

Another neighborhood pool is Pongpat Swimming Pool, located here: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=18.799050&lon=98.982871&

And yet another is the pool at the Chiang Mai Municipal Sports Stadium: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=18.800810&lon=98.990529&z=18&m=b

Again, the caveat is that none of these listings is too classy, but they might be worth looking into.
