Since Udon posted his original heads up on Sketch up I have used it extensivly to show my builder detail on my new house. I was able to build a 3D house model on the computer from my plans, steel roof beam, sow poon and pan poon head to head with the builder. I was also able to expose and solve potential problems before he even got to them.

It is so accurate that I can calculate angles, areas and such things as quantity of roof tiles and Q-Con block.

Thanks Udon :o

Just downloaded and started playing with it after reading another thread in the "Real estate housing" board this morning. It looks great. It's also interesting to download models from the 3D warehouse, and found a few thai houses posted there!

Any results posted here yet?

Will start the design of our new "shed in the fields" and post it, but that may take a while.

Drain detail that I wanted the builder to make along with retaining wall, all he had to do was copy the SketchUp drawing so he got it right first time :o

One of many drawing I have made for him.

I'll bet the builder is impressed with yr work. :o

I'm impressed with his use of concrete and steel and he is impressed with my computer skills :D
