flying to Perth WA

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals, anyone flown recently to or from Perth, with a recommendation of a reasonably priced ticket?

Consider silkair CNX to SIngapore and then SIN to perth on whatever you like. If you fly SI you can book your luggage straight through if you like. Get seperate fares SIN to Per and CNX to SIN as there is a huge difference in the price compared to a straight through ticket.

AirAsia are running a special right now, for around 900 baht.

Airasia via KL .

Tiger air have cheap directs to sing. But try skyscanner for more options

Never paid more than $450 return to Perth or Melb return from CM with Air Asia. Book about 10 weeks out.

The only problem is the wait (8-10 hrs) in KL for your next leg, Usually spent in the premier lounge; costs around $60 but there is comfort, tv, shower facilities, free beer and food as well as unlimited free computer.

Yep, Harry is right.

The Silk Air/Singapore Airlines connection is the way we do it (Two adults one child) Being able to only check your luggage in ONCE each way is brilliant. Price....not sure at the moment.

Agree with Harry, check in and Immigration clearance done in 5 min and then a short wait for the night flight to Perth....Done it for years

Oh your best price will be with Chang klan Jan flexible dates and she will even modify it for you when you are in OZ.

Really is how long do you want to travel and how far in advance do you want to book.. ?

For under 21,000 baht you can book for next week, fly direct and be there in less then 5 hours. Same with return.

If you want to spend some time and money in KL or Singapore then go that way.. if I go to these places I normally spend 3 or 4 nights there, have no reason to go there for a few hours only.

On paper the fare via KL or Singapore is a lot cheaper, but No meal or drinks on flight, to get a good deal must book something like 3 months in advance, + in 17 hours you will need food and drink, maybe a train/taxi into the City....... for me the other problem is the arrival/departure time from Perth..

Every time I go to Perth I do look both on the internet and with Travel Agents, at the end of the day go with Thai Air or BA, last time was 20,087 baht with the 200 baht booking Agents fee. 6 days before flight. [did check in June go next week was Thai Air at this price, Air Asia was more expensive + took many more hours booking less then 1 week ahead]

Just renewed my yearly e-visa to Australia, so maybe looking at all the flight options again soon.

I am in Perth right now and have done this trip many times. It all depends when you want to fly. I find Air Asia, Jetstar or Tiger are the cheapest option. I have done the return trip for as little as $A380 but this next trip is $900 return (includes BKK - CNX return as well). I look up the individual airlines but as a rule if you travel out of Australian school holidays it is cheapest. This time I am right on peak travel time, so not cheap.

The above link gives school hols for 2013 & 2014. Prices go up a week or so before these dates - especially for the summer break as private schools close earlier than government.

ADIOSO is worth a look but I have always found going direct to the airline website the best.

No, you don't want to do that flight.
