BANGKOK: -- Ex-Premier Thaksin Shinawatra has challenged the opposition Democrat MP to behead him if he did invest in the offshore oil and gas exploration with Cambodia.

The fugitive premier’ challenge was revealed by his lawyer Noppadon Pattama on his Facebook today.

Noppadon said the former premier has monitored the censure debate in Parliament closely particularly when the Democrat’s Bangkok MP Sansern Samalabha accusing Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on her party’s amending of Article 190 of the Constitution for the interest of her brother Thaksin.

The lawyer said that he took pity on the Democrat MP’s desperate attempt to taint the former premier with unfounded charges despite the fact that it was said many times that it was untrue.

He said latest post on his Facebook said the ex-premier challenged the Democrat MP to behead him if they had evidence to show he had interest in the offshore oil and gas exploration investment with Cambodia.

The lawyer said the Democrat MP’s showing a video clip of an interview with Thaksin by a moderator saying he was interest in energy business did not mean Thaksin was interesting in doing the energy business in Cambodia.

Let's hope the whole investment goes down the drain and end in loss, but then who will pay the redshirts to make chaos and anarchy in Bangkok? coffee1.gif

If the Dem's have evidence that T. S. has done a deal with Cambodian officials on oil and gas offshore exploration, then let them show it and not just say.

You need to keep something for the last push.

Cannot review all cards at once.

Reminds me of the 'peace talks' rumours last year with Thaksin saying "who am I to do such" and only a year later we had final confirmation that indeed he would do such.

Just another bit of idle gossip and crap no hard evidence to prove anything so we will just take it as lies more lies for trying to discredit certain individuals.

Mind you, this particular individual doesn't need much discrediting. He manages very well on his own.

Nice 1. Let's behead him together with Chalerm as a New Year's present for the Thai people.

Add Jatuporn and you got a deal

11:35 RT @tulsathit: Pheu Thai MPs spent all energy defending Thaksin over alleged oil interests. They've been largely quiet over rice attacks.

It was reported many times in ASTV and during PAD protest (the one that seize the airports) that Thaksin gave the 4.6 sq km and the temple to Hun Sen in exchange for his personal gain in oil & gas reserves under the disputed Thai Cambodia sea territories. Chevron was also involved.

Please take it with a a grain of salt, as it is from ASTV/PAD.

And if it's not coming from those 2 sources?

He's been awfully quiet, letting his sister take the heat, I wonder what he must be thinking, that was the biggest rally probably in the history of the democratic country last Sunday all in hatred to him. Do you think he reflects on this before going to bed, or doesn't care. Either way, it was a pretty brutal message sent out, he's not going to come home to a red carpet.

Seems he's still flogging a dead camel.

May not the only thing he's flogging --- not getting his jollies off with the latest round of developments, is he?
