New sex scandal surrounds Warne

Shane Warne doesn't waste time.

Less than a month into Warne's English county cricket season another sex story has appeared in the British tabloids.

Pictures in Sunday's edition of the tabloid News of the World allegedly show Warne and two 25-year-old models involved in sexual positions with a blow up toy, allegedly taken on Thursday night.

The alleged sexual episode occured in west London during Warne's Hampshire game against Middlesex when he claimed 7-99.

One of the models, Coralie Eiccholtz, has known Warne for a few years but said things only started heating up after she learnt that the cricketer had separated from wife Simone.

"I've known him for years but nothing happened before because I knew he was married," said the New-Zealand born Eiccholtz.

"But since his split he's been texting like mad. He even sent me one during a match."

The other model Emma Kearney praised Warne's performance.

"Shane's a stallion and very willing to experiment. He loved playing around with the inflatable and was up for anything," she said.

After the 10-wicket win over Middlesex, Warne claimed he was suffering.

He said in an interview: "If I'm honest, I'm tired out."

Warne's management did not immediately return calls.

More crap from the UK tabloids! Why do they continue to promote these talentless slappers whos only real goal is a fast buck and a bit of publicity?

He's a big name and she wants to become a celebrity slut for a few weeks. I bet her parents are real proud of her in NZ this morning!

On the sporting side, Warne has stated he is a good chance to contest the next ashes series in England in 2009 at the age of 40.

He said that is what he does for a living, he has no other work. (especially since he lost a $300,000 contract with ch. 9 because of his off field conduct)

My problem with this is that Warne could be a valuable asset to have in the UK. Just think what his influence could do on a young spinner in the Hampshire ranks. But the mighty British Press having seen off Eriksson now see Warne as the next fair target yet they'll be whining about a lack of decent spinners in England when he decides that enough is enough.

As for his playing until he's 40 I hope so, however I wonder if he can keep fit. The last few years have seen some pretty long breaks for Warne through injury and general wear and tear. I reckon that playing county cricket will have its toll on Warne sooner rather than later.

depends on how he is managed.Christ, look at Brian Close.didn't he play his last test match at the age of 43?

fitness training etc has come along way over the years.A spinner (no pun intended :o ) like Warne should be able to hit the 40 mart...bar injuries as you said.

Warnie has never really been in great shape - he's a spinner and doesn't need to be. Definitely should be considered in 2009, he's got buckets full of talent!

Warnes last long break was a drugs suspension for a year and he came back from that fitter and slimmer than he had been for years. His bowling figures since then have been as good as at any time in his career. He hasn't played ODIs for three years which must help prolong his time on the field and of course never fields away from the slips. (I can't recall ever seeing him chase a ball towards the boundary!)

Another aging player, Glen McGrath, was interviewed recently. He is currently on a long break from cricket because of his wifes illness. He claims to be jumping out of his skin, will be ready for the next ashes and wants to play for a few more years yet.

I think a long absence from the game can rejuvinate a player and extend a career.

Warne to deliver FA Cup final ball

Australian cricketer Shane Warne will deliver the FA Cup final ball to referee Alan Wiley in Cardiff.

Warne will travel by helicopter from London to Cardiff before handing over the ball in the centre circle of the Millennium Stadium before the match between Liverpool and West Ham United.

"I'm told I'm the first Aussie in history to deliver the ball and being the 125th FA Cup it makes it even more special," Warne said in a statement from sports good manufacturer Mitre.

Leg-spinner Warne, the most successful wicket-taker in the history of Test cricket, is playing county cricket for Hampshire during the English summer.
