New airline route opened in preparation for peak season

BANGKOK, 3 December 2013 (NNT) – A new airline route has been opened to cope with the increasing number of tourists during the cold season.

Bangkok Airways has opened up a new route from Bangkok to Udon Thani. According to the deputy director of Bangkok Airways, an increasing number of tourists travelling to Udon Thani is highly expected as the temperature gets cooler and cooler. The airline has also revealed that there has been a significant increase in flight frequency from foreign countries, especially from Laos.

The airline said the new route would help bring prosperity and wealth to Udon Thani and the locals, adding that the province is an economic hub of the northeastern region. Udon Thani is also rich in history and culture.

Currently, there are 2 flights a day from Bangkok to Udon Thani. The airline is keen on increasing the flight frequency to 3 flights a day by early next year.
