I think Cindarella's a touch underdone, looked to be protecting his ribs a bit. A 4 bag in the first game though is a huge (welcome) return for the Bondi Billionaires. Plenty to like about him though, big strong mark and kicks straight. Just needs that little extra bit of pace.

Gyngell.. <deleted>.. I mean Franklin - sorry was confused with the other Bondi Billionaires :P - aside from missing plenty last night, still has that X factor that can turn a game on its head, his second goal in as many minutes, was, for me the turning point. Before that, they were looking a bit lost despite the Hawks falling apart.

I thought Benny McGlynn was again at his best just tenacious and not giving up despite a knock to the head from Roughy. Spider Man was for me, BoG, the kid just never gave up!

I certainly don't think Derrickx was in the best 7, sure he batted on for 4 quarters but was smashed by McEvoy, Hale and Co. - Jetts was certainly worthy of a spot as was Ned Kelly, I thought his 'wind the clock back' goal was superb and has really taken over from where Marty Mattner left off. Certainly one of our most important key defenders.

I'm expecting a better contest from Freo today against Port.

Still tipping Port though, not sure if freo can kick enough goals to win the game

<deleted> Port supporters (with the obvious exceptions) are some of the most feral out there, right up with Collingwood.

Having a chat with a number of them in the pub yesterday (and when I say having a chat, that means them coming up to me and starting on about it) and the premiership's already in the bag. Cornes will win the brownlow and Schulz will take the Coleman medal. I mean talk about living in a fantasy world!

Wingard had a good game and both midfields were on fire.

Port has a great run for the remainder of the season but they might be at their peak now

Yep, Port are in great nick at the minute. Having said that, I think the only injury they've

had is one of the water boys did a hammy. I know Lode pulled out late, but they've been

pretty lucky so far.

Having said that, if they finish top 2 and get 2 home finals, they will be a big chance to

go straight through to the GF.

I thought Freo were good, especially with 2 key back out, but they're really missing Walters.

Zac Clarke has been their best goal scorer in the last 2 games. They need more goals out of

Ballantyne and Mayne methinks.

I think Freo will be dangerous when they get a few more back and really set themselves.

Trouble is, top 4 has just about slipped away and I don't think you can win it if you're not there.

Tough for Freo to make the top 4 now. Gold Coast, Port and North have easy draws for the rest of the year and hawthorn, Geelong, maybe Sydney look too good to miss out.

Well bookman it's on in the tipping.

I'm on 44 and yourself 43 with 2 games to go and I have picked the eagles and saints. My margin has blown out to 298 also.

we have both picked the eagles, cant see any surprise there.

Carlton v St kilda should be more interesting. I'm backing Carlton on last weeks scratchy form, but if St Kilda play like they did a few weeks back they could win.....i might see if there are any late minute selection surprises.

Well if Carlton win then we will be equal on tips but you will jump me with the margin.

Some interesting odds for the premiership.

3-1 hawks

5.50-1 Geeong

6-1 Port

6-1 Sydney

8-1 Collingwood

9-1 Freo

21-1 North Melbourne

50-1 West Coast

80-1 Gold Coast

at 9-1 Freo seems a good bet. I'm surprised Collingwood is ahead of them.

Almost 60 players at Cronulla and Essendon face bans as ASADA gets ready to exact punishment

FOX SPORTS

  • May 12, 2014 5:45AM

40 from AFL club Essendon’s class of 2012 will be issued with show-cause letters as early as this week.

That is 40 players that could be looking at a 2 yr ban. There is no way on earth the club would be able to field a team for 2 years.

They have some great depth at the moment...A look at the reserves on the weekend gives u an indication how strong they are without injury. Will be difficult for Sydney to hold some of the players in coming years with the salary cap.

In the reserves this week we had:

Gary Rohan (looks like they are switching him to defence)

Lewis Roberts thomson

O'Keefe (36 possessions + 7 tackles)

Tom Mitchell

Tim Membrey (4 goals) Only 19 years old, 90 kgs, 190cm

Brandon Jack

Tommy Walsh

4-5 other players with potential

Essendon should have done what Cronulla did and offload half the players.

if Essendon have 40 players banned how can they accept jamie boy back as coach? He oversaw the whole regime, despite what his wife tells us about him being a poor victim.

The players are slightly less to blame than the coaching staff and directors IMO

Aaahhhh!

MRP time again fellas.

I thought Mark LeCras should've got a week for being dumb

and then should've been able to plead down to a reprimand

due to his good record.

But no, the MRP has graded his bump as reckless and not negligent

(like Roughhead's & Duffield's) so he's pinged with a level 2 case and misses a week.

I think WCE should appeal and try and get it downgraded.

Am I being a bit biased here gang?

I can't see much difference, especially between Duffields and his.

Yeah just caught the weekly laugh..

Ridiculous, Viney was given 2 weeks for his bump but all of those charged this week were much worse and the most given out was 2 weeks which pleaded down is a week on the bench.

A minimum of 4 should have been appropriate given the directive from the AFL last week..

Yeah it'll be just Chappy running around if they're given a ban..

It's going to be really interesting to see how it comes out..

For chooka and you Sydney boys.

A great interview with Barry Hall.

WCE were robbed in 2005biggrin.png

Bazza was allowed to play the GF so Sydney had a chance to win to satisfy public demand.

To be fair the St Kilda cry baby Maguire did ham it up a small touch to the stomach.

I always thought Sydney was robbed in 2006 w00t.gif

This is a good honest interview from Bazza. I think you might have mentioned this last year KhunWill? Someone did...

Interesting he rated his 2 final years at the Bulldogs as his happiest.

Well worth a watch by anyone
