Temorary pass to shop duty free Tachilek

I have checked and can't find any thing in the border section. I thought I read at some time that you could pay for a temporary pass to go to shop at duty free Tachilek. Also while on the topic are we only allowed two bottles to bring back into Thailand. Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated Randell

Search for "VIP" in the Mae Sai/Tackilek Border Info thread and you will finds tons of information. Basically 100 baht on the Thai side and 500 baht on the Burmese side.

Just turn up at the border with a couple of photocopies of the front page of your passport, they will know exactly what you want and direct you accordingly.

Thanks that's simple enough. Are they still only letting you through with a couple of bottles?
