Never done a 90 day report in 36 years

I know that some of you will tell me I should do the 90 day report baht but I have never done it. Occasionally on my yearly spousal visa extension I have been asked where my 90 report is and I say at home, I tell them I don't have to report for a month or so, never had a problem. One evening drinking at a Thai bar in Sansai an immigration police officer came in we were drinking eventually told her my story about the 90 day thing she said I could get in trouble but she dismissed it as a 2000 fine plus 400 a day since it was discovered. I told her that I go to immigration yearly with the two thousand ready to pay and he said that I could only be fined for two thousand baht thrown in jail until the fine was paid plus 400 baht a day after that. If this really is the case I can''t imagine why anyone with a pittance of money wouldn't do what I have done for 36 years. Love to hear your comments but boys remember I have been here longer and most of you where still crying at your mother's knee when I came here in 1977.

I love it and your point is absolutely valid, why go through the hassle when the penalty is negligible, you might just start a trend here, I shall need to think about whether I really want to go down that route personally.

So what is the point here? Supporting breaking the law and boasting? You people sound like 17-year-old punks bragging about shoplifting.

Admitting to breaking the law and implying continuation of doing such. Posting this in public is putting yourself and Thaivisa in harms way. As this follows under the forum rule of discussing illegal activity - topic closed.
