It gives me no pleaure having been an Oxford resident for 20 years to see the "U"s go out of the Football League.

Oxford United produced a plethora of fine players.. John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, Dean Saunders even England's new manager Steve McLaren finished his playing career at The Manor. I saw him play thee and I really hope he will be a greater Manager than he ws a player!!

Robert Maxwell must be turning in his grave.. (even thoough he stole most Oxford's folks pensions!!)

I used to take my kids to see them play regulary, I only lived 20 mins away

20 years ago they won the Milk (Carling) Cup. I saw them play many top teams during thier two year spell in the top flight..... I was there when Reading were beaten 3-0 and all the Royals fans sat down in front of the Reading coaches demanding Terry Bullivent's head (which they got)

Although a Reading fan it gives me absolutley no pleasure to see our GREATEST adversaries decline. But I despise SWINDON TOWN.. they have never stood the test of time.. Oxford games were so much more special.

I know that Jim Smith (apart from managing QPR on that great day in 86 when the U's beat them 3-0) will get them back at the first attempt.

OXFORD is TOO BIG to have a Conference team and I wish ..all Oxford supporters the best of luck (Dantilly-Brit) for your promotion next year....when there will only be two divisons between us agian unless Reading can perform the miricle of staying in the Premiership

Come on OXFORD... I have been to so may functions there that they are more worth than Conference.. listening to Tommy Docherty, Peter Osgood, Jack Charlton.

Good Luck and comissirations
