we can only wait and see, but wouldn't be optimistic (judging from suthep backers are capable.

Well it is a valid concern. But not by Suthep.

Remember Jutuporn is coming to town with his band of seasoned hospital invasion and firing rockets at civilian transportation specialist's.

So yes it is a serious concern.

I wonder who is the puppet behind Suthep. No one is ever this confident.

I assume you mean who is behind the puupet Suthep.

Here is some prospects: http://www.chiangraitimes.com/news/20951.html

No they are the puppet handlers (the two generals) the puppet masters are the family of 200. This whole thing is about who will control an estimated fortune of $ 300 bn in future. I can't be more specific without breaking a certain law.

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif 300 billion baht. that is just peanuts compared to what the PTP have in mind.

I can't be more specific without breaking a certain lawclap2.gif

They just keep getting better and better.

I don't own a gun and never really thought much about it. In the last few years in the US the debate about gun ownership has been about the rights of the people to have guns vs. having too much guns. Now in Thailand where the Military is the only group that owns a large number of firearms and has absolute power, what can the people do to defend themselves and their country, if the army decides to take over. I've never believe in guns before but this would be the only time that I understood what the US second amendment means.

You obviously were not here and did not hear about the 2010 shoot out. I say shoot out because there was guns on both sides.

The problem was the people who caused all the problems had the guns but were not trained in there use and thought that just shooting one would be good enough the bullets would find their own way.

They were very lucky to be facing an opponent who held back on their use of the guns. Can you imagine the carnage with the whole army firing at groups of people. Thousands would have died.

You can always tell when an administration is getting desperate when they see the need to circulate rumours. In many ways, the administration has always had the upper hand. They can hold innumerable press conferences and fashion and mold their own talking points, answer their own questions, and make up their own stories. It's not that the press conferences have had no effect. The CAPO press conferences in particular have actually had a great impact. We invariably see a few people seated at a table - who appear to be for all intents and purposes completely immoveable and motionless. And people watching find themselves saying - really, who are these people ?

That is one reason why the army is biding its time. They want to be sure of having backed the right side when the dust settles. One other reason is that if they stage a coup they know they will not have the support of a large part of the population of the country who will believe the army was doing Suthep's bidding.

No not Baht US dollar as per my comment. A good return on the protest money that they are now spending.
