Chiang mai Provincial Land Transport Office prepares auction of “Super number” license plates

CHIANG MAI, 9 Jan 2014 (NNT) - Chiang mai Provincial Land Transport Office is set to auction off “Super number” license plates, the proceeds of which will go to the Road Safety fund for road accident victims assistance.

Mr. Chanchai Keelapaeng of the Chiang mai Provincial Land Transport Office has revealed that the office will hold an auction for 301 ‘super number’ license plates bearing Thai characters Kor Kai and Tor Tao, which represent prosperity and growth. The auction will be held from February 22-23, 2014 at the Empress Hotel.

The Office has adjusted the look of the license plates in line with the province’s slogan promoting Chiang Mai’s uniqueness in hopes of gaining more popularity while raising money for the Road Safety fund, which provides assistance to road accident victims.
