CTH Cable From True Satellite Cable Wall Socket

Just a quick questiuon rergarding my installation of CTH, I formerly had Truevisions satellite installed, I was away working when CTH was installed. I was curious as to why they run a new cable from my ceiling, down the wall and in to the set top box.

Could they not have simply run the cable from the wall socket which was previously used fro Truevisions ?.

They did a pretty sloppy job to say the least, and I would like to remove the cable if possibe and just use a cable to the wall socket instead.

Does anybody have any thoughts on the subject ?.
