Club 51?

I know must of us are probably too old for it, but to those that wouldn't let your old age prevent you from going to Club 51 do you have any comments or opinions that you could share here? Any promos or promo girls? Any food? I'm looking at an apartment very close by and would like to get an idea of what it's like. Thanks in advance. Oh, and I'll tip if they smile and know three words of English (as long as the beer is real cold). Sheers!

I know of a club 51 in the Jed Yod area. If this is what you are referring to then, I have had many a good nights there watching EPL football, drinking cold beer and flirting with the pg gals. Nice acoustic guitar playing by Pop on some nights. Again, if this is the club in Jed Yod, I would recommend the entire area as a good place to camp out. Be mindful though, you are in direct line with the airport approach and departure lanes.

yes, that's it, and thanks for reminding me about the jets. I'm more used to dealing with them from the Hang Dong side. Sounds good (excuse the pun). What is a pg girl? I too am in the new 20s....old enough for a retirement visa; too young for viagra.

club 51 by chiang mai ram,is a quite thai bar, food good, beer very cheap,service okay,shows epl footie on sat/sun,has a singer on the rest of the week,owner and wife nice couple,make u feel welcome,

Are Thighlander and kcore talking about the same Club 51? When I think of the Jed Yod area I think of the area northwest of the Nimmanhamin-Huay Kaew intersection (soon to be known as the Maya intersection).

Got to be careful going into bars around there. I wandered into one for a beer after a bit of a stroll and suddenly realised that it was bereft of girls.

ive never been in club 51 and i dont go into santitam / tannin market area at night coz my night time haunt is loi kroh road

There are two...one is very close to Ram and the moat, the one I'm talkin' about is near Wat Jed Yot. Created some confusion on the search engines too. Don't know if it is the same owner.

My guess is the one near Wat Jed Yot is the more interesting of the two. Unfortunately Google only shows the one near Icon. Any chance someone can provide directions or a nearby landmark to the Jed Yot one?

On the road that connects 11 to Canal Rd. (jed yot rd.) Going up the hill passed the 10 thb washing machines on the left, then there is a 7-11 on the left, make the next right after 7-11, and it's about 100m on the right. There is a sign on the corner. It is across the street from The Attitude Community Coffee Shop, which has an address of Sukhaphiban 24, Chiang Mai.

The one stated in the post above is very good, I have been to both and the Jed Yod one is my preference. The owners name is Chippong.

They close the music down at midnight as there is a lot of residents close by.

Pg girl= promotion girl. Short mini skirts with either Chang , Leo, tiger beer logos depending on what is being " promo' d ".
