Here we go again, another year of blood sweat and tears.

!!!!!!!!! Can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to know that WSBK visits Sepang, Malaysia again for the first time in years. Fun is on June 8th.

After an absolutely stunning year of racing in 2013, the scene is set for yet more breath taking action. Cheering on our hero's, being blown away by unbelievable moves made by those that have the talent and gonads to make it to the top of World Class Championships.

Thanks.

I hope Scott pulls his finger out.

As to be expected, Cal and the Ducati are quite some time behind - sadly.

Great to see a Suzuki there in the mix, I understand that they won't be racing until next year. Is this true?

Marc on fire from the start...................................

Cheers

From what I understand on the Suzuki's yes 2015

They were slated to start this year but for what ever reasons postponed it.

Yes Cal 2 sec down but it is early. I hope they get better but the fact Dovi is also 1.7 down speaks of the Duc

You know Pol on Cals old bike/team is acclimating quickly to GP class too

  • 2 weeks later...

Less than 1 week and counting until WSBK kicks off the 2014 racing season at Philip Island.

No factory BMW team this year sadly.

Will be interesting to see how Chaz Davies gets on with the Ducati

Moto 2 Testing in Spain.

All the ususal suspects are at the top of the timing sheets, but watch out for Sam Lowes.

First ride out on a Moto 2 bike and already 6th fastest and only 0.5 second off the quickest time.

Just read that marc marquez has broke a leg while training on a MotoX bike in Spain.

These MotoX bike accidents are far too common, it seems to me.

He is going to miss testing here at Sepang and maybe a test down under.

Yeah I remember when Rossi was young. Hurt or fractured his shoulder?

His father was on TV saying ok that is it. I have told Valentino no more MX smile.png

Yes he will miss testing for sure.

Saw a funny pic/photoshop on FB

Sorry to hear that NW.

Sorry to spill the beans, but, how great was it to see E.Laverty and the Cresent Suzuki team win the opening race of the year?

It seems that the year will be a year of Aprilia domination, but so nice to see Suzuki win after years of getting nowhere.

What have they changed? The present production model GSXR1000 is basically the same as last year, yet it blasted past the Aprilia of Melandri on the start/finish straight.

Also nice to see a competitive Ducati this year.

Race 2 on the way in an hour or so - I hope Alex Lowes can race and the team can rebuild the bike in time.

Game on ! biggrin.png

Looking at the Sepang Web site - MotoGP testing continues Feb 26-28 Feb, admission is free!

Tempted to put a leave day in at work and drive down there for a day.

http://www.sepangcircuit.com/Events-@-MotoGP_Pre-season_Testing_2.aspx

Also.

WSBK - Malaysia Round 6-8 June tickets are on sale, looks as if the Grand stand start / finish seats are more expensive than the other seats in the Grand stand by 20MYR.

Really a bargain to watch WSBK racing for what is about 18 UK Pounds from the Main Grand Stand = 100 MYR !. My order will be going in soon.

Oh no, the Yoshimura Suzuki engine (E.L.) failed in the second race.

That's one engine down of the 7 allowed for all year.

Must say that we should make the most of the last year we will see these full blown Superbikes, next year they will all be EVO class. No doubt this is what Dorna had up its sleeve when it bought the WSBK series in an attempt to bring more exclusivity to MotoGP.

If something ain't broke - don't fix it.

Saying that, we don't see a factory BMW team or any Yamaha at all.

Well done to Kawasaki to getting 2 riders on the grid as the Frenchman from North England leads the series. Bit of a disappointing end to the days racing, red flag for oil on the track.

The next round seems ages away.

I think they have 8 engines, nevertheless that is not good. Melandri seems to struggle to put in two good races on a day. Sykes will improve and don't completely write the Ducati off yet, should be a good season. Sepang Day 2 is on right now, apparently the track is pretty dirty but improving Alex Espargaro fastest with VR second. Happy 40th Colin.

Hey mania.

Thanks very much for this.

Have to say the star is Alex Esparago, while sad to see Scott so far down.

I have bought my "North Grandstand" tickets for WSBK - Sepang (8th June) today smile.png

Agree about Alex soihok !

Have to see his race distance times but if it is anything like he has been running laps at

I fully expect he will visit the podium a few times this season

Your lucky to be going to Sepang !
