I sat chatting to a French couple on a flight back from Hong Kong at the weekend and they were the nicest, friendly folks i have met for a long time. As a Brit i have nothing against the French, they can teach us Brits a whole lot when it comes to fashion sense and cuisine.

...well...at least they enhanced your vocabulary... :o

whish they did a similar job with your ...ermmm....cuisine.... :D

I dont know why anyone would want to live in Canada, they have a similar climate to the uk and they all speak French :o The worst of both worlds, IMHO :D

Actually, they speak Quebecois. It sounds like French, unless you are from France, in which case it sounds like a drunken Welshman talking to a drunken Scotsman. :D

Oh yeah, Canada's climate(s) are much better than the cold, wet drizzle that passes for the daily weather in the UK. (Think about this, in addition to Artic Tundra, Boreal Forests, Plains and mountains, we also have DESERTS, complete with cactus and rattle snakes !)

Must be a real bummer, being colonized by the French :D:D I wonder just how MANY nations have ever been colonized by the French? Anyone kow?

Only a tiny, wee, small portion of Canada was "colonized" by zee French peoples, nes pas ? Once they agreed to play nice with the rest of the country, we gave them some additional land to look after.

The rest was settled by British Imperialists, who then had to defend that fair land from American Imperialists on more than one ocassion.

If I recall correctly, the UK was itself "colonized" a few times (Normans {Frenchies}, Vikings, Romans {Italians really} and others). :D

what drives those guys from that island really nuts is reminding them that their Royal family derives from the Hannoverans and that the Germans (Hannoverans to be more precise...) introduced also an addition to their cuisine (pun intended) which involved fried battered fish and fried potatoes cut into stripes.

Thinking about it, we should have tried introducing soap as well.... :D

Senegal, Cameroon, Algeria, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Seychelles, Vietnam, Madagascar, Tunisia, Cote Di'Ivoire, Mali, Reunion Island.

There are actually quite a few more if you used a search engine.

Add Italian wine as better than French too!! :o

I try to think of something better than French kissing? Somehow Brit kissing doesn't make sense :D

French Indochina :D

Funny how it seems to be CANADA that comes out on top when ever they do surveys on things like Best Place to Live, Safest Cities and various other factors.

Don't see those other..............english speaking :o .................. places getting mentioned too often.

I guess the difference is, we know we are the best. We don't have to brag about it in order to try and make ourselves feel better.

:D

(take that you hosers !)

Living in the U.S. for as long as I have I think I've only heard Canada mentioned about half a dozen times. Must be a very non-descript and uneventful country. Someday I'll have to look it up on a map. :D

western Canada is quite nice, Vancouver is clean, scenic, but, like the rest of Canada, a bit dull. I contrasted Ketchikan Alaska with Prince Rupert in British Columbia...the former typically US and wild west and the latter no liquor after 10 pm?..although they are only separated by a 3 hour ferry ride.

Swearing around ladies in BC is a fighting offense...and people still wear white socks and heavily use Brylcream...

Vancouver has some very nice bakeries...

All of Europe at least...

snogging is the appropriate terminology :D

I've yet to come across a Russian... :o

totster :D

Now you guys are bashing the Germans, Swedes, Brits and soon, I'd expect the Yanks. :D
No, this is just a temporary respite, they'll hit us again soon enough, :o:D

At least not in Pattaya. Plenty of Russians to cum, er, come across here now :D

And speaking of zee former French colonies, look at where they (the French) were, and what most of those places are like now. Vietnam is about the only one that has it's act together (after having kicked the French and the Americans out). The rest are basket cases.

Compared to Thailand, Vietnam is a basket cast too.

It has a Communist Government that no body who isn't in the Government supports or wants and is a cesspool of corruption that would make Thaksin jealous.

It is a Third-World country in every sense of the word. :D

To a non-Brit that sounds gross. :o Tongue-in-someone-else's-cheek. :D

Just take a look at some of todays TV threads involving Brits in Thailand. From murder right down to many other crimes.

Like this one..

totster :o

Good on ya Tots. You had to dig back into history to find these. I said "todays TV threads." :D

As you seem to like research, how about counting up the Aussie and Brit crimes conducted in Thailand over the last two years and let's see which nationality has the most.

Aussies are saints in comparison to Brits. :D

We are still up there on the top rung of the ladder. It will take more than that feeble effort to knock us off. :D

i hadnt checked this for a few days but good to see our down and under (out) friend is still talking absolute <deleted>...

There was me thinking baskets were weaved... :o

French Kissing Exercises - Keep your lips in shape

Solo Exercises

Cherry Stem

Tie a knot with a cherry stem. Suggested by Laura, who claims to be able to do it. Say, Laura, you wanna practice kissing on me sometime?

Unwrapping Starbursts with your tongue

Suggested by Mr Nathan Przybysz, this involved unwrapping starbursts with your tongue. I assume you pop the whole thing and try to manuver your tongue... guess it could get tricky if the starburst has been in the sun a little long. Still... has been quite useful.

Chewing Gum

Chewing gum helps. It helps build your jaw muscles, enabling your jaws to open wider for more play room.

Knotting cherry sticks

This age-old tradition of knotting cherry sticks with your tongue helps inprove your tongue flexibility. When you can do this, throw in two sticks and try to do it simulataneously

Tongue stretching

Preferably done in privacy, try to stretch your tongue as far as it will go, outwards. Try to touch the tip of your nose, or as far as you can 15 times, 3 sets. Then try to touch your chin with your tongue, again as far as possible, 15 times, 3 sets.

Tongue flexing

Alternately try to make your tongue as tall as possible, then as flat as possible, then as tall as possible. Cycle through about 50 times.

Paired exercises

Circle her lips

Circle your other half`s lips with your tongue. Suggested by Mr Alex Graziano. Has been rather arousing, to tell the truth. Thanks, Alex

Reach

Stand about 10 cm apart. Both stick out your tongues and try to touch the opposing tongue

Reach II

This time stick your tongue into your partner`s throat and see how far down his/her throat you can push you tongue. Being able to reach the epiglottis would stand you in pretty good stead

Opposing Stretch

You stick out your tongue while your partner uses her mouth to pull and effectively stretch your tongue as far as possible. You make sure you do the same for her.

Nothing like the real thing

Says it all. Go for it. Try to hit the 5 minute mark

Well I just did!!

Doesn't mean I find the French not boring, i do.. But they have just a bit more life in them than the French speaking Swiss who are like zombies and have no sense of humour at all.

I could go on for hours, but i won't. :o

I speak French.

I would not admit to that on this thread... :o

Better not to speak or understand French. Than you do not know for sure if they are rude.

Actually, on a person to person comparision we cannot say, the people are rude....

The Brits have left us with a rich legacy, one has to admit.

Fish-'n-chips, bangers and mash, dogging.

A cultural richness seldom found in any other nation.... :o
