Using American Electric Toothbrush in Thailand

Hi There

I made a mistake of ordering an electric toothbrush from USA and totally forgot about the voltage difference.

The toothbrush charger is 110-130V AC, 50-60 Hz/1,3 W. Any idea why type of converter or adapter I will need to use it here safely?

Thanks so much in advance!

If it truly is a charger, then probably cheaper and easier to locate an equivalent running on 240.

Check out the docs or maybe imprinted on the unit it will say the output DC (usually between 9 and 16) and a diagram that shows the inside/outside polarity (positive/negative).

There are multi-output adapters one of which options will most likely work.

Getting an actual voltage converter is another option, but probably more expensive and bulky.

The smallest of the voltage converters from your local electrical shop will do the trick if it's one of those chargers which the brush sits on to charge and a generic 220V one is not available.

I have a Phillips Ultrasonic which I bought in the US on a trip home. I've never seen them here in Thailand, so I just bought a simple 'plug in the wall' 220-110V converter. They pull miniscule current, something around 250mA as I recall, so you don't need to buy anything fancy
