Just looked at the photos and it appears to be a construction zone there appears to be digging and there were concrete pipe in the photo. I have to wonder if he wasn't hit at night while parked along the road. Go in peace.

Looking at the more graphic pics, at least he went quick and probably didn't know too much about it. Horrible injuries, I'm not sure a full face helmet would have saved him.
