Fake farmers, wanting to meet fake we-care-about-the-poor politicians, in a fake democracy. sad.png

Fake this. Anyone fancy a pint?

Yep, it is becoming a Fast Show sketch.

PTP have had their own Rowley Birkin for ages now, then along comes "ain't rice farmers brilliant, I mean, you don't need to pay them or nothing"

'Like the endless blackness of space that leads to the chasm of clams!'

with that thought ...... I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight

Ah, I think I start to understand. Any one protesters must be a fake farmer rolleyes.gif

You obviously do not understand. The two "farmers" leaders named are not farmers, full stop.

Nothing whatsoever to do with accusing every protester as fake at all.

Why do you post these false accusations?

Still kissing up to Big T I see.

Well fabby you seem to very highly respect and adore a fake pm.

Remember that old saying, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Fake farmers. The new rage in Thailand. Thais are great at making fake movies, clothes, music, watches, bags. They naturally would be expert at being a fake farmer. Maybe it was fake Thai farmers begging from foreign tourists at the airport.

I read some posts and start wondering how some are thinking!

So what if you own more than 8 rai and you are not a farmer, what does that have to do with the poor Thai people that don't have a rich foreigner to buy land and things for them?

I have students that will have to stop studying because their families can't afford to pay the school tuition of 1600 Baht for 1 semester studing year 4 and and 5 in the vocational education. Wher does your children study, in the public school or do/did you send them to a private school? Did/ can you afford to pay the 20-100k Baht a semester for studying in the university?

They are families living on farming between 1-5rai but hey according to some they are not farmers!

Some of my best friends they are lucky because they have other jobs but still grows rice, bananas or other crops on 5-10rai. But thay have other jobs so they don't counts as farmers?!

I can't understand how some people can be so ignorant and self centered that they can't see/understand that there are differences around Thailand. Isan with many times only one harvest a year and northern Thailand with in some areas where they can harvest up to three times in a year! And people habe different opportunities in life some are rich and some are pore.

I myself have Thai friends from all walks of life, from the farmers living on a few rais to MPs and high ranking government officials. So I have seen the difference of life in Thailand!

This was a shocking press statement from any imaginable standpoint. The Yingluck administration is now going back to the tried and true Jataporn tactic of labelling opponents. The word is no longer " elite ". The word is no longer " amart ". The new word is apparently " fake ". And it's used eight times in this article, lest anymore forget the emphasis that was intended. The administration is now engaged in a full-frontal war of words on farmers - not real ones, apparently, but fake ones. One can not think of anything more truly offensive to the sensibilities of farmers who ended up at the Defense Ministry in tears earlier today, looking for Yingluck - who it seems is always on tap for tears of her own. Well, it seems she's real, and they are fake. On top of all the other injustices the farmers have had, they are now being called fake to their faces. Is there any more evidence we need of an administration so profoundly and morally out of control ?

Vichien has been outspokenly skeptical of this administration on the issue of rice. For a year. This is what he said just three weeks ago :

ICHIEN PINTHONGKHAM, FARMER (voiceover translation): I haven't got money from the Agricultural Bank, so I don't have money for investment. I brought the document, but they told me to go home. They said they will call, but I don't know when.

Yet suddenly - today - he is on board. Whatever inducements he has received has apparently blocked out a year of criticism and skepticism. In one day. And he is now apparently the only " real " farmer in Thailand. Because Yanyong says so, that's why.

Apparently,Thai Rice Farmers Association president Prasit Boonchoey is also by implication not a " real " farmer either, simply on the strength of the fact that he has been wise as to what the administration has been doing and has led many farmers on this issue. Conspicuously, though, Yanyong didn't include him in his Nixonian " plumbers " list.

But for all the farmers throughout the country who know that they are indeed farmers, who have come from families devastated by this experience, frequently with tragedy in tow, and know that they have been cheated out of their money by this very administration - Yanyong has - in one press announcement - thrown away Pheu Thai's loyal base for generations to come, with one last, outrageous act of sheer vindictiveness and brazen deception.

I know what the elite and amart are - they've been spongeing off Thailand's citizens for generations - but what's a "Nixonian plumbers list"?

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Commerce Minister Yanyong Puangrat today called farmer leaders protesting at the Commerce Ministry fake farmers , and declared the government would negotiate only with real farmers.

Knowing Sutheps track record, there is actually a pretty good chance this is true.

At least we know where all his recent cash donations were spent on.
