rogerdee123
Fake farmers, wanting to meet fake we-care-about-the-poor politicians, in a fake democracy. Fake this. Anyone fancy a pint? Yep, it is becoming a Fast Show sketch. PTP have had their own Rowley Birkin for ages now, then along comes "ain't rice farmers brilliant, I mean, you don't need to pay them or nothing" 'Like the endless blackness of space that leads to the chasm of clams!' with that thought ...... I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight

Jonmarleesco
Well, there are more than a few fakes in parliament, by virtue both of dubious qualifications, and questionable ability.
scorecard
Ah, I think I start to understand. Any one protesters must be a fake farmer You obviously do not understand. The two "farmers" leaders named are not farmers, full stop. Nothing whatsoever to do with accusing every protester as fake at all. Why do you post these false accusations? Still kissing up to Big T I see. Well fabby you seem to very highly respect and adore a fake pm. Remember that old saying, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. noitom
Fake farmers. The new rage in Thailand. Thais are great at making fake movies, clothes, music, watches, bags. They naturally would be expert at being a fake farmer. Maybe it was fake Thai farmers begging from foreign tourists at the airport.
Kasset Tak
I read some posts and start wondering how some are thinking! So what if you own more than 8 rai and you are not a farmer, what does that have to do with the poor Thai people that don't have a rich foreigner to buy land and things for them? I have students that will have to stop studying because their families can't afford to pay the school tuition of 1600 Baht for 1 semester studing year 4 and and 5 in the vocational education. Wher does your children study, in the public school or do/did you send them to a private school? Did/ can you afford to pay the 20-100k Baht a semester for studying in the university? They are families living on farming between 1-5rai but hey according to some they are not farmers! Some of my best friends they are lucky because they have other jobs but still grows rice, bananas or other crops on 5-10rai. But thay have other jobs so they don't counts as farmers?! I can't understand how some people can be so ignorant and self centered that they can't see/understand that there are differences around Thailand. Isan with many times only one harvest a year and northern Thailand with in some areas where they can harvest up to three times in a year! And people habe different opportunities in life some are rich and some are pore. I myself have Thai friends from all walks of life, from the farmers living on a few rais to MPs and high ranking government officials. So I have seen the difference of life in Thailand! tilac2
This was a shocking press statement from any imaginable standpoint. The Yingluck administration is now going back to the tried and true Jataporn tactic of labelling opponents. The word is no longer " elite ". The word is no longer " amart ". The new word is apparently " fake ". And it's used eight times in this article, lest anymore forget the emphasis that was intended. The administration is now engaged in a full-frontal war of words on farmers - not real ones, apparently, but fake ones. One can not think of anything more truly offensive to the sensibilities of farmers who ended up at the Defense Ministry in tears earlier today, looking for Yingluck - who it seems is always on tap for tears of her own. Well, it seems she's real, and they are fake. On top of all the other injustices the farmers have had, they are now being called fake to their faces. Is there any more evidence we need of an administration so profoundly and morally out of control ? Vichien has been outspokenly skeptical of this administration on the issue of rice. For a year. This is what he said just three weeks ago : ICHIEN PINTHONGKHAM, FARMER (voiceover translation): I haven't got money from the Agricultural Bank, so I don't have money for investment. I brought the document, but they told me to go home. They said they will call, but I don't know when. Yet suddenly - today - he is on board. Whatever inducements he has received has apparently blocked out a year of criticism and skepticism. In one day. And he is now apparently the only " real " farmer in Thailand. Because Yanyong says so, that's why. Apparently,Thai Rice Farmers Association president Prasit Boonchoey is also by implication not a " real " farmer either, simply on the strength of the fact that he has been wise as to what the administration has been doing and has led many farmers on this issue. Conspicuously, though, Yanyong didn't include him in his Nixonian " plumbers " list. But for all the farmers throughout the country who know that they are indeed farmers, who have come from families devastated by this experience, frequently with tragedy in tow, and know that they have been cheated out of their money by this very administration - Yanyong has - in one press announcement - thrown away Pheu Thai's loyal base for generations to come, with one last, outrageous act of sheer vindictiveness and brazen deception. I know what the elite and amart are - they've been spongeing off Thailand's citizens for generations - but what's a "Nixonian plumbers list"? moonao
BANGKOK: -- Deputy Commerce Minister Yanyong Puangrat today called farmer leaders protesting at the Commerce Ministry fake farmers , and declared the government would negotiate only with real farmers. Knowing Sutheps track record, there is actually a pretty good chance this is true. At least we know where all his recent cash donations were spent on. Popular Post davidstipek
So as I understand Yanyong... If the Famers had grouped together and pledge some of their "Over Due... Long Over Due Payments" to pay for Lawyer. He would not let them meet with Caretaker Prime Minister either.... Correct? Because they would not be Famers?? This is exactly what he has said!! So they got Rep's to travel to Bangkok who could afford to do so, To speak in their Behalf. Thus They are called Fake!! Does the Government really... Want to have every single Farmer and Family to come to Bangkok and really Tie up Traffic... Because be assured if they come they will not go home without something... Yangong... Think about it! Really Think about it, spend the Night thinking of the Doors you have unlocked..... Do you really want Our Farmers to go to Supreme Court and Complain? I am sure that every single Judge who sits in this Court will be more then Glad to listen to How they were cheated out of any legally due Payment. I am sure next time the Government asks for help by being sold product. Thai people are going to Laugh and Smirk while saying... "Why should we line your pockets with Gold..." All you did before with these Promises You Made was fill our Neighbors pockets with Hot Air.... Even it was Polluted, Smelled of someones spilled Alcohol... I grew up on a Farm... Every Morning 130 Cows got Milked and other duties, same that Night. I still went to school. When the Bottom fell out we kept the cows, Dad built two 40' x 200' Chicken Coops, where us Boys raised Fryers. To put funds away for College, for the 7 of us kids. Same thing happened here... We didn't go hungery ate alot of Chicken... Donated alot of Chicken to food Banks, supplied Them with a walkin Freezer to store as needed. Still continued to raise Chickens and Milk Cows... Thank God! Dad had the foresight to breed to Angus and a few Holsteen. We were able to corn feed (grow our own) both... Actually the only thing we didn't grow was sugar and Salt! So the Point is yes, I know what the Government can do to the Farmer... These famiies are not as lucky to have an alternate door to go to as we did. Think about it long and Hard Yanyong... if the correct People Here in Thailand meet with the Press and World News Their word, as Legal Thai Lawyers will... Be Believed! Can you afford to let that happen? Not every Professional Business entity here is wanting to reap from hurting their Neighbors... Some actually are Extremely Good! Proud! Thai Citizens. I am sure you don't want these Citizens to March to Bangkok with their Neighbors to Support them.... These are the people whoses hands will never get Dirty... No matter how Long, Hard, they Toil to protect what they Love.... "Thailand" These are also the Citizens who will get Tourist's to return to Thailand...not you!!!
