Phetchaburi:-- Boon Rawd Brewery Co. Ltd. has launched a funding to protect Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi by donating 1.3 million Baht to the Director of the Park.

The fund was officially launched on 17 January 2014 at Ban Rai Chaiyapruek in Kaeng Krachan. Mr. Amnart Parnkaew, representing the Executive Board Manager of Boon Rawd Brewery, Mr. Santi Bhirombhakdee handed over the money to the Director of Kaeng Krachan National Park Mr. Chaiwat Limlikit-aksorn. The fund will be used for a variety projects at Kang Krachan National Park.

Mr. Amnart said that the Company understands that funds were needed by the Park, so the Park's Director was asked to set up the fund. Some of the donation will help vulunteers who work hard protecting forests in Phetchaburi and neighbouring areas. Without them, the forest would be endangered.

Mr. Chaiwat added that in January, His Majesty the King paid a visit to Kaeng Krachan and asked him and all the staff to take care of the forest area. Grateful for His Majesty's concern, he said he would do the job to his best.

According to the Park's Director, all the staff are dedicated to taking care of the forest areas every day and night. Much of their work is about preventing deforestation, illegal logging, animal hunting and slash-and-burn farming. Even though some of the officials feel tired and discouraged with the amount of hard work, they keep working without any complaints because they realize the importance of forest protection.

Mr. Chaiwat also said that, besides the current donation, Boon Rawd Brewery had previously given a satellite phone to Kang Krachan National Park so that the officials use it to communicate with their colleagues conveniently anywhere in the forest.

Highly thankful with His Majesty's concern and the support of Boon Rawd Brewery, Mr. Chaiwat said that he and all the staff of Kang Krachan National Park would work very hard and dedicate their life on forest protection at their best.
