And what do the CMPO : nothing, Chalerm is on holidays

He has been summoned to Singapore for fresh instructions and to pick up another cheque - post dated on a currently empty account that will only be funded when certain conditions are fulfilled.

Shall we go to a medium to tell us, or do we already know?

Of course, very difficult for the police to identify and apprehend, fellow members of the red brigade.

Here we go again.

AP is the source, but not seen it in Sutheps media yet so can't post it here.

Just another incident organized by CMPO and the PTP as an excuse to extend the SOE.

What is most distressing about this article is that 5 of the entries in the thread are news bites from admin with a tiny amount of member replies, which says that people are now being harmed and nobody is really interested anymore.

Shootings around 1.20am and 3.30am on Friday morning.
Since violence broke out on 30 November, 728 people have been injured and 20 others killed.

How much of those crazy grenade-, pistol and rifle shooters have been catched?

I guess: 0, Zero, Nil?

How much the taxpayers pay for police, army and this CMPO structure?
collective refusal to work?

The security bodies are incredible passive in this country.
Everyone is free to fire his weapons here.
Fear must probably not, the perpetrators of violence.
This raises a very very bad light on the security organs.
A shame.

Could be pipkins, the most 'reliable' source ever. Only photos are missing this time. Joke aside, it is clear that the current care taker government is behind the violent attacks. That is their strategy to get people off the streets. At the beginning there were plenty of people, the atmosphere was almost carnival like. People clearly enjoyed themselves. And that was the biggest danger. They had to do something about it so night attacks started followed by more brazen daily attacks and that strategy worked for them. People are frightened, people are intimidated and prefer to stay away at this stage as no one can guarantee their safety any longer.

Have to check, but at least one reliable source can be named as it's mentioned in the topic on "CMPO condemns anti-govt protests at embassies"

"Tarit also referred to separate shootings near Lumpini Park, the main rally site, on Thursday night, which led to two people being injured. He claimed that the shots came from inside the park.

Now now lets not be too hasty, maybe it was the same source that said Chalerm was off to Singapore to meet "somebody senior" ;)

Keep an open mind, very plausable that the shooting can happen within the protest group, when you have untrained, unskilled people drinking and participating in a little " drug taking" then negligent discharges can easily happen.

......this is sounding more and more like some 'regime'..........out to eliminate any opposition......

If they really really wanted to, they could , and they'd target leaders, they already know where most of them stay..

I don't here much condemnation about the Army failing to stop the shootings, after all, wasn't that the reason for the additional 117 checkpoints set up in and around the city?? whistling.gif

Apparently it is the police that are the source

So not that clear at all, that it is the work of the current caretaker government as the ever reasonable Mackie informs us.

i agree with Fat Haggis .. if the shots came from INSIDE the park well guess what... having a couple of Lao Kao's and beer at 1 am and 3 am and "let me show you how this gun works" might have prompted a display of dazzling gun fire

I was in a guys house in Corpus Christe Texas in 1982... 2 pm in the afternoon... just talking with the family and the disabled vietnam war vet who owned the place decides to fire off his pistol thru the kitchen screen door and hits the house across the street...just one shot...just to show everyone how tough he was... the cops show up and the excuse the cops walked away with was

"oh a firecracker must have been set off" ...I couldn't believe it back then even... but hey that was back in 1982... wouldn't happen that way now in the us of a ... I think the guy hit the yard or the grass at the house across the street but holy cow batman .. my ears were ringing for an hour after... and the cops took the story about the firecracker ! ! ! amazing...small hole in the screen door the cops didn't see... 5 5 5

After 23 killed people and more than 700 injured, few dozen hundred attacks with firearms and hand grenades on protesters and not a single arrested person you don't have to try hard to figure things out. Especially when you know that the drunkard is in charge of the security operations. Shots coming from the park means absolutely nothing. Thai police said...cheesy.gif ...Must be the truth fab4. By the way, do you have any critical thinking or deductive skills? Have you ever been tested?

Well if the police said so...........................................................................

Oh, didn't they say the men in black on the Labor Ministry roof weren't police, only to be corrected by their boss?

Not always a reliable source it seems.

I wouldn't go into the park now , or even walk past it. The city's only real downtown strolling park has been over run by these bandits. Even driving near it is now a risk if they are shooting at passing taxis

I wouldn't go into Bangkok now, or even drive near it as the city has been over run by bandits shooting at anti-government protesters. Something should be done to stop these shootings and bombings all over the metropolis.

Just as soon as Chalerm finishes his business dealings in Singapore and returns, the CMPO should put their billions of taxpayers money to work and find a solution.
