Are you looking for English classes or schools for your children?

primary school with English for our kids:-).we think that smaller phangan and tao are not that much overpriced and overcrowded,so maybe in the future we would like to move there....

They are much more pricey than Samui!

There's a couple of "English curriculum" schools on phangan... Roughly 100,000 baht per year up to 12 years old.

and thai state school do they have any English at all?are they free?

You obviously haven't done your research right.

Both Phangan and Tao are more expensive than Samui, Tao could possibly be the most expensive island in Thailand.

Tao is certainly not a place I'd recommend an expat family with small children to permanently live.

So, if you're looking for a place which is not "overpriced" in which case, I presume you have some kind of budgetary restrictions, then I don't think both islands would suit you. Maybe not even Samui. Cost of living (especially food) in Samui is about the same or even higher than in Bangkok.

Researched two English curriculum schools on phangan.... Both around 100k

Si panya.. English school 120,000 baht per year, students aged 5-12

The learning tree is around 100,000 baht per year for kids aged 2-7
