I need help with Logitech x-530 speaker system for PC

Featured Replies

I have a Logitech x-530 speaker system for a PC

I bought it many years ago but due to moving around a lot I am finally trying to get it installed.

It seems maybe I have lost a part ...a converter...that the three wires plug into and then only two wires go out.

I tried installation and Realtec even tested each speaker and I got sound from them all. Thats the sub wooffer and a central and and the two front, two rear.

Realtec is on my Windows 7 PC.

However when I play a CD i only get three speakers working.

I don't have a sound card installed but the motherboard is an ASUS P8Z77- V Pro Thunderbolt.

Why will the system sound out each speaker but the CD won't play to all of them.

The motherboard has the places to plug in all of the cables.

Can anyone help me please.

I'll randomly assume you are using Windows Media Player to playback your CD?

If so, try changing to a different player and check them again. I noticed only 3 of 5 of my speakers working when I use WMP, even though they all work with Winamp/KMPlayer (which I mainly use for my needs).

If it indeed is WMP, I haven't got a solution for you as I haven't bothered much more as to get it to work, rarely ever use it.
