Tailors in Chiang mai

I would like to hear intelligent suggestions from those who can elaborate.

Is anybody familiar with how to find the actual tailors in the city, those that make the clothes and go to them directly instead of having to deal with the often incompetent middlemen(tailors)?

^ Please post. Someone mentioned the seamstresses down the main market a while back, but last time I looked I couldn't find the post for specific directions to the exact stall.
