BANGKOK: -- olice arrested a man yesterday for allegedly growing 31 marijuana plants in his house in Phitsanulok's Wat Bot district.

The search of 44-year-old suspect Khajornsak Mangpare's house also yielded some yaba pills, a pistol and some bullets.

Khajornsak reportedly confessed to police that he had grown marijuana plants in the past few months after getting the seeds from a friend, but said he only used marijuana for cooking. He also reportedly confessed to using yaba.

To be honest it was Nature that grew these plants, the guy might have popped the seeds in some dirt and splashed water on them, but after that Nature is the guilty party. I don't personally encourage people to use these substances, as I believe they "take the edge off your game", but at the same time I can see they are Nature just doing her 9-5 dayjob, and its fairly stupid to charge Nature with breaking the law. Especially while we humans are cheerfully building nuclear bombs and bioweapons etc. and monkeying around with with some very hazardous chemicals in our food and water. I think a more sensible approach to all this is required, for example the heavy pesticides we spray on the plants are the dangerous part, not the plants themselves. Start with that viewpoint and work up from there through the list of unnatural toxic products we are creating and using. Won't happen though.

One of my employees was sentenced to eight years for one plant very small.actually all I seen was a wall stump of one plant. In the charging docs. He never called me for bail or anything. Very hard worker. Very loyal. I got him out.

His bust, this petty activity, is front page news in Thailand. However, the arrest for outstanding warrants for hit and run cop killing as well as collusion to cover up , goes unattended by police or the Thai press.

Doubt very much he was sentenced to 8 years for 1 plant, I would take another look at the docs.

what a sin sad.png legalize it and leave people alone bah.gif

Was this an OTOP enterprise?

No, it was generating a profit instead of a loss.

Actually it's not front page news, that's just you and you imagination again. Do you have inside information on the hit and run case that no-one else is privy to, the police provide you with regular updates? Or you just like to slag them off? Don't answer that, it was rhetorical.

Yea my sister told me that to (space cakes for my nephews band) w00t.gif

Legalize it and tax it , kinda harmless compared with alcohol and the rest of the drugs .

Since what's happening lately in the country Thais need to chill down seems to me .

Maybe they will put a flower in the barrel of there guns instead of shooting all the time .

More likely to Pol Pot.

I wonder if the first question of the cops doing the arrest was: "Wanna cook?"

The cannabis plant has existed on this planet for far longer than human species. What right do we have to come along and say that it must now be wiped out into extinction?

I heard that cannabis leaves were used in a soup dish in Thailand and it tasted very good. Is this true? Maybe there are some soup stalls that still put the leaves into soup. I would like to try it.

The muffins in Bluebird coffeshop in Amsterdam are so tasty and strong.

Corn beef hash,my favourite.

The worldwide attitude to cannabis is lowly changing thanks to America's new approach, but it will take years before anything happens in Thailand

His last dance with Mary Jane for a while.

BTW, how's the Thai Kitchen of the World campaign coming along?

Yaba to get him away from the pot ,pistol to shot the birds eating his seeds ,no harm done ,welcome to Thailand
