PEA has the same prices nationally I think. I pay them the same rate in Bangkok (On Nut) as I do in a Sisaket village. Sorry don't have a bill in front of me to tell you the absolute amount but I remember thinking it's about half the rate I paid for my house in the UK (very broadly). When my Bangkok condo is on tickover, ie I have only gone their one time overnight in the month or not gone, the bill is less than 100 baht - bargain - and it has never been more than 300 baht a month. My house in Isaan on the other hand with a pool, garden sprinklers and Thai family who like to use far more air than the falang in the house (!) averages about 4,000 baht a month.

Cost is the same in BKK, CNX,SinCity,Surin and Sisaket. About 4 baht per kwh. I'm like SS no bill but SWMBO says bill tomorrow, so I will get back to you.

Kw proces in Isan

Depends on the use of Kw

I monitor my consumption very well, because I also use solar for producing electricity.

f.e. when use 300 Kw we pay 4,20 thb /Kw all tax inxluded

when use 600 Kw we pay 4,50 thb/ Kw all tax included

so the more you use the more you pay.

another thing to take in mind

WHEN YOU ARE BUILDING A NEW HOME TOU GET CONNECTED TO THE GRID YOU GET A CONSTRUCTION TEMP METER. YOU ALSO PAY A LOT MORE FOR TOUR ELECTRICITY (ALMOST THE DOUBLE AMOUNT.

SO BUILDING FINISHED RUSH TO THE PEA OFFICE AND ASK FOR A DOMESTIC METER.

Have a nice day.

A "unit" must be a kwH then - since my bills have all hovered around 4.50 a unit for the last few months.

Inflation in electricity prices has not been rampant in Thailand (like it has in the UK for instance). I see that when my house was built 5 years ago I was paying 3.67 a unit. So about 4% per annum rise

Same tariffs nationwide.

For details read here:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/681007-electricity-cost-bangkok/#entry7028809

Normal household tariff/"average" consumption will currently sum to about 4.2 Baht/kWh.

As there is a fuel surcharge determined every four months, the price may vary even on exact same consumption.

Have two March 2014 bills from different households at hand.

365 kWh for 1574.27 Baht (4,31/kWh)

274 kWh for 1153.03 Baht (4,21/kWh)

I am not sure whether there is still a subsidy for the poor (consumption below 95 kWh/month)?

If you live in rented accommodation you may pay a lot more for your electricity. Many landlords control the meter and charge their tenents 8 Baht / kwh or more.
