I mean beyond the obvious three main groups plus Mamaks and Ferenghis? I speak specifically about selection of Korean food (kimchee beyond basics, here in PNH there is at least one shop selling artisanal no-MSG varieties) and Indonesian food (I happen to know of the *only* restaurant that makes tempeh here). One would think that with a factory town on the island. Vietnamese would be available too.

In other words does Penang have a sophisticated. *foreign* presence as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and PNH do?
