Tourists Slow Down To Say Home And Watch Footie?

The Bangkok Post suggested yesterday that tourism is unusually slow because many Europeans don't travel during the World Cup.

Being American with no interest in sports this seems hard to believe, but is it?

What do all you real men think? :o

I went out last Saturday with a couple of friends of mine bar hopping Loi Kroh and it was like a ghost town compared to what I remember from before. Of course I haven't been out that way for a couple of years and don't know if that is the norm now this time of year. Just found out that all the gogo bars have pulled their poles down, gives you an idea how long it has been. :o:D
