Settlement visa UK How to contact VFS in Bangkok

Any ideas please.

The telephone number for VFS 02 800 8050, which I think, was for Regent House is just a message saying they do take phone calls anymore and proceed to:

www.gov.uk/contact.ukvi

This URL says:

This page cannot be found www.gov.uk/contact.ukvi

I have emailed complaints at VFS feedback.

So at present it seems they are not contactable.

My wife called the Trendy House building and was told that VFS do not take calls.

What great service.

My wife called the British Embassy and they do not know what VFS use for reference numbers to track an application all we have is :

00000-1234

the Embassy also do not know about

ABCD/ddmmyy/0001/01 type references

so they just said await the email from VFS about the decision.

  • 5 months later...

Last week received an email from UK Visas and Immigration saying that since a decision has been made on on my wife's settlement visa would she complete a customer satisfaction survey on her experience with VFS.

As yet she has still not been contacted by VFS even though a decision has clearly been made. I don't know how long it takes to send passports from UK to Thailand but surely not a week . And with no way of contacting them we just have to wait until they feel like doing some work!!!

Needless to say the survey won't be flattering VFS at all .

Unfortunately, the so called tracking service will only tell you that the application has been sent to the embassy until it is changed to say that it has been returned to VFS.

Which is all VFS could tell you even if you were able to speak to them!

The new, premium rate, so called UKVI help line is useless; they only seem able to give general advice, not answer specific questi0ons about specific applications.

I don't know how long it takes to send passports from UK to Thailand but surely not a week

Except in very exceptional circumstances, UK visa processing and decision making is done by UKVI staff (Entry Clearance Officers) based in the British embassy. So passports are not routinely sent to the UK and back!

Did your wife opt for courier delivery? Anecdotal evidence suggests this adds a couple of days; particularly if there is a week end involved.

Thanks for the reply 7by7 - my grumble really is about the time it takes from ECO making a decision to being informed by VFS. Ive heard reports of them holding onto passports for weeks before informing the applicant to make an appointment to collect. My wife didn't opt for the mail service as we enjoy an excuse to visit BKK every now and then. It's been 13 weeks since the application was put in.

It's been a long wait and our lives been put on hold until we know if she has been granted clearance - just looking forward to moving on with our lives. Thanks for the links - I have been round and round the .gov website many times over the past month so I know them all well.

As you say there's no tracking as such so just got to wait it out

Regards
