What nationality is the kid? Farang? Thai? Half & half?

If Thai related, and with a Thai passport, free.

If Thai going on a Thai Border Pass, cheap, forget the amount, but about baht 50.

If farang on a farang passport, depends on nationality, $35 for U.S.

on the subject but for the elderly.

I read somewhere some time ago that there is no fee for the elderly - i.e. 65 and over.

Can someone confirm this ?

As far as I know there is no visa fee exemption for children or the elderly.

Trying to find any info on Lao visas online is not easy. I have used the Lao embassy in Bangkok website before but it is now not there anymore and the link goes to to non official webpage.

I found this website that has info on the VOA and fees. http://www.laos-guide-999.com/visa-on-arrival.html
