I need to replace 3 sets of toilet seat covers. Went to the shop I originally purchased them from, they are asking crazy prices.

Was wondering if I can buy generic ones & where. I am situated on Koh Samui / Suratthani.

Seats are for American Standard model TF 4085

They want 5,500 baht a set here.

I had an old American Standard from the 70's and indeed replacement seat was extremely expensive and had to hunt it down in Chinatown here in Bangkok as nobody stocked. Plastic is those days was not good and easy to crack (which not exactly comfortable when skin got in between). Have replaced the two remaining units that we had with new Cotto units which work much better as flush is much more powerful on there high end model (ground floor). We did buy general replacement seats at Home Pro several times so yes you should be able to buy something else and use.
