Merit-making ritual held for missing Karen activist
The Sunday Nation

A Chiang Mai-based hilltribe network hosted a merit-making ritual to boost the morale of family members of Karen activist Por Cha Lee "Billy" Rakchong-charoen, who has been missing since April 17.

Karen Federation of Thailand president Sorasak Senohpornprai insisted that Billy was still missing and the rumours that Billy had been spotted at the Song Khon border checkpoint in Prachuap Khiri Khan and in Chiang Mai's Mae Chaem district area were untrue.

He said he believed Billy was still alive and the federation, along with the network, would monitor the progress of related agencies' probe into his disappearance. They also would be visiting Billy's family soon.
