I have been in some places like homeworks, but couldn't find a place that cuts wood boards to customer spec.

Is there a place in Pattaya with a choice of wood boards / panels that will then cut it according to spec?

A number of places selling lengths of wood along Suk heading from Pattaya to Bang Sarey that have electric saws and will cut to your spec within reason - but you will probably need a Thai speaker to specify.

I do not remember seeing wood boards in these places but also I was not looking. Also maybe try some of the door shops who may be able to help or point you in the right direction? Otherwise perhaps you have to find a friendly furniture shop who will do what you want - Tharappasit road has a few......

I had a small book case made at Home Pro in the Big C complex on Pattaya Klang several years ago. Back of the store on the left hand side. They had a good selection of wood boards and make what I wanted fairly cheaply

Sorry but I can't guarantee that they still provide this service

I needed boards cutting to different lengths/widths and in the end found it easier to buy an electric circular saw and do it myself

a bit of an overkill, and I guess I would rather need a jig saw :-)

then the other question is where to find wood boards - maybe that shop on Pattaya Nua road near Sukhumvit?

Unfotunately right after that 2 years ago Home pro had discontinued their shop. I think Homeworks may be able to cut pieces in their shop. I was sad to see the wood shop go. It was one of the very few things homepro did good at.

Probably they had difficulties in having their staff doing the job properly.

Checked Homepro today, and they indeed said they did before but not anymore.

Checked Homeworks also, and no, they don't do it.

And none of these places sell wood!

Tried the pattaya nua shop at the intersection with sukhumvit, and "mai mee", but not "mai, mee" :-(

I now got a jigsaw, but no wood to cut :-(
